Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Market Drive Auto ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Marketplace Autopilot (the "Service") — our software for creating and maintaining vehicle listings on Facebook Marketplace. It covers both the Chrome browser extension and the back-end platform that supports it.
Who This Applies To
The Service is used by motor-vehicle dealerships and individual sales professionals ("you"). This Policy describes how we handle your information and the inventory data you provide.
Information We Collect and Store
To operate the Service, we collect and store the following on our systems:
- Account and identity information — your name, email address, and the dealership or salesperson account you are associated with, used to authenticate you and connect you to the correct account.
- Inventory data — the vehicle information you designate from your inventory source, such as year, make, model, mileage, price, VIN, photos, and descriptions.
- Listing and posting data — the status of your listings, the Facebook listing links and identifiers we create, posting history, and pricing updates.
- Operational data — the job and scheduling information needed to run, update, and reconcile your listings.
- Diagnostic and error reports — error messages, technical details such as browser and operating-system type and extension version, timestamps, and the operational context of a failure, used to identify and fix problems.
We do not collect or store your Facebook login credentials. The extension operates within your own browser session while you are logged in to Facebook, and we never see or store your Facebook password.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your account, inventory, and listing data are stored on our back-end platform. We use Supabase for our database, file storage, and authentication, and we host our applications on Vercel and Render.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and operate the Service: to authenticate you, import your inventory, generate and post listings, keep prices and statuses current, mark vehicles sold, and diagnose and fix technical issues. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with marketers.
Third-Party Services
To provide the Service, we share the minimum information necessary with:
- Facebook / Meta — your listing content is posted to Facebook Marketplace through your account.
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication.
- Vercel and Render — hosting of our applications and back-end platform.
- An AI / language-model provider — to generate vehicle descriptions, vehicle information may be sent to a third-party AI provider. We do not send your account credentials for this purpose.
- Resend — to send account and invitation emails.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the Service.
Data Retention and Your Rights
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us, and we will delete your data on request or after your account ends, except where we are required to retain it to comply with law. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR, and we will honor them on request.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Website Analytics & Tracking
Our public marketing website (marketdriveauto.com) uses analytics so we can understand how visitors find and use the site and improve it. This is separate from the Service described above and does not involve your dealership, inventory, or listing data. On the website we use:
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — privacy-friendly, aggregate traffic and performance measurement provided by our host.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic and engagement reporting from Google.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps that show how visitors interact with pages, used to improve usability.
- First-party event logging — we record basic interactions in our own database: page views, button clicks, scroll depth, blog reads, when the pricing section comes into view, clicks on links that leave the site (including links to our own Marketplace Autopilot site), and whether a contact-form submission succeeded or failed. This uses first-party cookies (a randomly generated visitor id and the source of your first visit). These cookies are set only on our website and are not used for cross-site advertising.
- Lead-source capture — when you submit the contact form we attach the referring source and any campaign parameters (UTM tags) from your visit, so we know how you found us.
- Failed submissions — if the contact form cannot deliver your message (for example our email provider is down), we store what you entered in our own database so your enquiry is not lost and we can still reply. That record is kept privately and is used only to contact you about your enquiry.
We never send the contents of the contact form — your name, email address, phone number, dealership, or message — to Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or any other analytics provider. Those services receive only anonymous interaction data, such as the fact that a submission happened and, if it failed, a generic reason code.
You can limit this tracking through your browser's privacy settings, a tracker/ad blocker, or Global Privacy Control. Because this is a business-to-business site using standard, first-party analytics, we do not display a cookie-consent banner.
Cookies and Tracking
The extension does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Facebook uses its own cookies within your session, which we do not access or control.
Your Choices
You may uninstall the extension at any time, request access to or deletion of your data, and revoke access by the Service to your Facebook account through your Facebook settings.
Minors
The Service is intended for dealership and sales professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new Effective Date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice.
